About Joan and Janice Joan M. Houck is an adjunct teacher for the Archdiocesan Catechetical School in Denver, Colorado. She and her husband are the parents of six grown children and grandparents of four. She is a presenter of numerous retreats, Bible studies and seminars. Joan is a facilitator for the premarital Foccus program, a lay presenter for Isaiah Parish Missions and a spiritual director. Joan has an advanced certificate from the Archdiocese of Denver Catholic Biblical School and a Master’s in Adult Christian Community Development from Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Janice M. Valvano is an author, writing books that focus on the Bible as the foundation for living abundant life. She is a widow and the mother of two grown children and grandmother of three. She has been a religion teacher in a Catholic High School, a lay presenter with Isaiah Parish Missions, a facilitator in study and support groups, a teacher of numerous seminars, workshops and Bible Studies. She has worked in health care institutions as Director of Pastoral Care, in the parish setting, and in the classroom. Janice has a Master’s in Theology from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida.
